ASI’s founders have 20+ years of experience at all levels of nationally recognized shooting competitions.

We’ve taken the best of that world and simplified it for average shooters. The result is a casual sport that we’re sure you will love.

The ASI founders actively support the “semi-pro” associations such as IDPA, USPSA, Steel Challenge, and 3 Gun.  We hope that over time “the best of the best” in ASI will have a chance to compete on the national level.

ASI uses a series of simple, practical shooting courses, with a scoring system that promotes a relaxed, friendly atmosphere (like a bowling league).

ASI matches are friendly events, but every shooting problem you will face focuses on teaching a particular firearm handling skill or experience — such as reloading, shooting around an obstacle, or shooting while moving.

The challenges you face will be “doable” for average gun owners.

Some of the stages will repeat over the course of the year, giving you the chance to improve.

Action Shooting International® (ASI) events provide an opportunity for legal firearm owners to use their firearms in a dynamic environment, encountering relevant, thought-providing firearm handling scenarios.

No previous training is required.  ASI provides a friendly and informative introduction to safety procedures and development of firearms handling skills.  ASI has a key objective of providing our members with a fun, friendly, social opportunity to gain basic skills and firearms familiarly.
