Action Shooting International Match – PBRC – 11/30/19

Corgi Nation Pistol Team donned our woolies to brave some cold temperatures for the Action Shooting International Match at Paul Bunyan Rifle Club! While it may have been frigid out our hot barrels kept us warm! Shot with a solid squad of cardboard slayers to include: Brian Buller, Rob Bartlett, Alexander Griffin, Kyle and Steve, Dane Sands, Pete Holt, Emilo Domingo, Andrew Keopraseuth, and Jake Scyoc. Despite my self-imposed handicap of shooting IDPA style (e.g., drawing from concealment when possible, using reloads with retention, etc.) was still able to pull 3rd overall.

Action Shooting International Match – RFGC – 11/09/2019

Had a great time shooting the Action Shooting International Match at Renton Fish & Game Club Inc today! While the "Washington Sunshine" may have got our GoreTex wet, it did not dampen our squad's spirits! Squad #2's cardboard slayers included: RO Ben Sumaong (DeLacy Larsen), RO Jim Parker, Randall Kuboi, RO Rob Bartlett and Marcie Bartlett, newcomer Kevin Zayic, RO Shawn Halliman (aka Jacquelyn Hallinan 's better half!), and Emily S. -Despite using only reloads with retention (and iron sights) was still able to pull 7th place overall.

RFGC – Action Shooting International Match – 10/12/19

The Corgi Nation Pistol Team seized the opportunity yesterday to use the Renton Fish & Game Club Inc Action Shooting International match to practice for the upcoming IDPA World Championship. Kudos to MDs Jacquelyn Hallinan and Carrie Parker for putting together a fun match! Despite the self-induced handicap of shooting IDPA style (e.g. concealed drawing, reloads with retention, etc.), was still able to place in the top ten, and win a stand-and-deliver type of stage with my iron sights -no easy task with all the folks using Carry Optics! Shot with a great squad to include: Robb Wolfe (who ran his 5-shot flame thrower really well!), Vickie L Jennings, the dynamic duo of Rob Bartlett and Marcie Bartlett, RO Shawn and MD Jacquelyn Hallinan, Jim Parker and MD Carrie Parker, RO Ben Sumaoang (DeLacy Larsen), Princess Hall, Steve Case and our pro-scorer Chris Case!

PBRC – Action Shooting International Match – 10/05/19

The Corgi Nation Pistol Team had a blast at the Paul Bunyan Action Shooting International Match! This was billed by the Mrs. as an, "antique roadshow match" -meaning you were supposed to dig into the gun safe and pull something old out (and she sure did running her old duty P-7 squeeze cocker!), but I used it as practice for the upcoming IDPA World Championship. Despite handicapping myself shooting IDPA style still did ok. Shot with a fun squad of cardboard slayers to include: Brian Buller, Rob Bartlett and Marcie Bartlett, Glenn and Kelly Davis, Joey and Kristina Barcinas, and Mr. Steve Neal.

RFGC – ASI Match – 09/14/19

Mrs. Corgi Nation Pistol Team and I had a great time at the Renton Fish & Game Club Inc Action Shooting International Match! Shot with a squad of real powder burners to include: Larry DeChant, Jim Parker, Rob Bartlett (alias "Corey Bartlett") and Marcie Bartlett, Shawn and Jacquelyn Hallinan, Princess Hall, James Graham, and fellow peacekeeper, Chris Duque. Thanks to our squad score keeper Chris Case too! ASI is the perfect venue to practice for our upcoming major IDPA matches, and the Mrs., Larry, and I did exactly that. Considering how we handicapped ourselves we all did pretty well!

RFGC – ASI Match – 04/13/19

The Corgi Nation Pistol Team Leader and I grabbed our Gore Tex jackets and Walther Arms, Inc. Q5's to enjoy some, "Washington Sunshine" at the Action Shooting International Match! The cold rain was no match for the hot lead being sent downrange by our squad! Such a fun time working with my fellow R.O., Bennie "Beretta" Sumaoang, and shooting with: Rob Bartlett and Marcie Bartlett, Carrie Parker and Jim Parker, Shawn and Jacquelyn Hallinan, Emily, Keelie Shay, and Mike Vandewall.
